Description: The Ventura City Fire Department preparing to launch a new team of rescue swimmers. Fifteen firefighters began a 40-hour training program to certify them as members of an aquatic rescue response team. When the team is launched Jan. 1st 2009, fire officials aim to have at least four certified rescue swimmers on every shift.
